About

The name Acre represents the most fundamental thing we all strive to protect: your home’s footprint. Our goal is to help families create a safer space for their kids without adding unnecessary complications or stress.

Acre Child Safety is built around calm guidance, quality installation, and the belief that parents should feel entirely confident in the home their children live, play, and grow in.

About Us

Brand Story / Mission.

Something funny happens when you become a parent. It’s almost as if a hidden lightbulb goes off in your head and you realize, “Wow, none of this life is about me anymore.”

The moment I became a father, my new purpose was to do everything I could to protect my child. Addressing the things I had control over, like babyproofing and childproofing, seemed like a simple place to start. However, hundreds of YouTube videos deep, I wasn’t any closer to understanding the extent of the hazards my little guy would face as he began exploring the residential minefield we call our home.

Acre Child Safety was created to turn the overwhelming task of childproofing into something practical, reliable, and just handled.

Most parents want to do right by their kids, but get easily overwhelmed by a sea of products and conflicting advice. Even if you buy the right gear, it only works if it’s installed correctly. Acre takes the guesswork out of the equation, replacing anxiety with professional precision.

Why Acre Exists

When you first bring your baby home, we believe the last thing you should worry about is the countdown to your kid getting into absolutely everything dangerous. Too often, childproofing advice turns into a source of deep anxiety that allows fear to dictate how you set up your home.

Acre Child Safety exists to create a calm, confident, and—most importantly—safe environment. We look at child safety through a practical lens, focusing on straightforward safety assessments and seamless installation rather than temporary or DIY fixes. We strive to create a secure, intentionally designed environment that allows your child to grow and explore while giving your family one less worry. We handle the heavy lifting and take out the guesswork so you can focus on what matters.

Standards

Professional Standards.

At Acre Child Safety, we take product selection and installation seriously because safety products are only effective when they are the right fit and installed correctly.

We are not interested in filling a home with every childproofing product on the market. Our job is to look at the home, understand how the family actually lives, and recommend products that make sense for that space. We focus on quality, durability, clean installation, and real-world performance.

If we do not trust a product, we will not recommend it for your home.

Installation matters just as much as the product itself. Gates, anchors, locks, and other safety items need to be installed correctly to work as intended. Whenever possible, we use sturdy, hardware-mounted solutions instead of temporary or adhesive-based fixes.

Products installed by Acre may meet or comply with standards established by organizations and agencies such as:

01

American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM)

02

American National Standards Institute (ANSI)

03

U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC)

04

Baby Safety Alliance (formerly JPMA, Juvenile Products Manufacturers
Association)

05

Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA)

Alistair Kamm

Founder

Acre Child Safety was founded by Alistair Kamm, a Denver-based father and operator with over 20 years of experience building and leading service-based businesses where trust and attention to detail matter deeply.

Before launching Acre, Alistair spent his career navigating highly regulated environments where safety and compliance were paramount. This background directly shapes his operational philosophy today: clean and clear standards, rigorous training, practical execution, and doing things right the first time.

As a dad, Alistair fully understands how overwhelming childproofing can feel when families are forced to sort through a sea of products and conflicting advice on their own. Acre Child Safety was created to replace that chaos, bringing a highly professional, calm, and straightforward approach to securing your home’s footprint.
